Honeycomb bracelet

Y-glyph chainmail weave

The LAKREY honeycomb bracelet is a flexible chainmail weave built from the signature Y-glyphs. Its hexagonal cells form a pattern that some call a honeycomb, while others instantly read it as a Goyard-style motif. Light, supple and completely seamless, it drapes over the wrist like fabric and suits both men and women.

LAKREY honeycomb bracelet in gold metallic - Y-glyph chainmail weave in the Goyard style

Honeycomb or Goyard

This bracelet goes by two names. Most people call it the honeycomb: the hexagonal cells of the weave really do echo a bee's comb - strict geometry that nature polished to perfection. Look closer at the individual links, though, and a second reading appears: each element is a Y-glyph, a three-armed figure that makes the pattern remind many of the signature Goyard weave.

We do not copy anyone's pattern - we develop our own. The Y-glyph is the foundation of the whole LAKREY collection: the same module that decorates the facets of the perfume case comes alive here and starts to move. The bracelet and the case form a matching set with a shared language of form.

A living chainmail weave

The bracelet is not a rigid bangle or a cast plate. It is true chainmail: dozens of links interlocked yet never fused. Every Y-glyph moves freely inside its cell, so the weave flows over the wrist, follows its shape and plays softly with every motion of the hand.

The piece is produced as a single whole, already assembled - there is not a single seam, weld or joint between the links. A weave like this cannot tear at a junction, because there are no junctions. The clasp is a neat hook that continues the pattern: nearly invisible from the outside, yet holding with confidence.

The tactile side is a pleasure of its own. The bracelet is lovely to run through the fingers: the links shift with a quiet dry rustle, and many find it as calming as any fidget toy.

Colours and finishes

The bracelet comes in several characters. The metal versions - deep gold and bronze - are airbrushed in thin layers: in the light the weave flares up like a real jewellery chain while staying many times lighter than metal.

Matte black is the most restrained option: the velvety surface absorbs light, leaving only the graphics of the pattern on the wrist. Glossy black works the opposite way, like polished stone: highlights glide across the cells and the bracelet recalls a piece of onyx or obsidian.

Every finish is applied by hand in several layers and sealed with a lacquer with a flex additive - the weave stays supple and the colour stands up to everyday wear. No two bracelets are alike.

Sizes

The bracelet comes in six sizes: an inner circumference from 15.6 to 19.5 cm in steps of about 8 mm. The range covers virtually any wrist - from a slender feminine one to a large masculine one.

Finding your size is simple: wrap a measuring tape or a strip of paper around your wrist, measure the circumference and add 1-1.5 cm of ease so the weave sits relaxed and drapes beautifully. If you hesitate between two sizes, take the larger one - the honeycomb wins when it has room to move.
